It's Fish Tacos with the Mrs!!
 

My wife just called and said her afternoon appointment cancelled so she decided to come home and spend our remaining day together, well together!

Well, it's Friday and we have a neat taco place that has the best fish tacos on Friday for $1.99 each (you know the old Catholic meatless Friday thing).

These are those Baja style tacos that have become popular in recent years, big chunks of batter fried fish, 2 corn tortillas, red cabbage, cilantro and some kind of tasty sauce. I know the red cabbage sounds wierd but it's really good.

Can't wait! :D

Oh and after the lunch perhaps she can help me catch that squirell!

I've never had a fish taco. At one time, I thought fish and Mexican food wasn't something that should go together. But now, I love sopa marinera, it's reminds me of someting like a Mexican phở. I've also had some great shrimp in a oaxacan tequila sauce.

My wife was a vegetarian, but now eats seafood (more protien for pregnancy/breastfeeding). We often go to Zeke's Fish & Chips, which I only mention because "big chunks of batter fried fish" made me think of it. If you're ever in Fort Worth, do yourself a favor and go to Zeke's.

mmm... fish tacos and some malt vinegar -- a cross-cultural culinary disaster in the making!

There was this place on Sunset Blvd. oh man, what heaven. They were the size of footballs and the tortillas were homemade and still warm when they handed that beast to you.

Ohh now see, I must be as warped as rk.

You know, I bought a shirt that advertised fish tacos on it at the local Goodwill and didn't see anything wrong with it. My roommate, on the other hand, thought the same way as Duck and RK and didn't bother to tell me until after i purchased said shirt.

Eating fish tacos followed by catching the squirrel?

One time my brother and his wife were leaving kind of early from a get-together at my dad's house, and we were like telling them they should stay, and they said they have to go feed the cat, and my dad was like "oh, is that what you call it?" We still joke about "feeding the cat" . . .
