If I'm gullible, that means the article is lying. In which case, you can't really use it to make a point, now can you?
|
And what exactly is the point? I see many facts and statements. What exactly are Hippikos' and Clodfobble's conclusions?
|
Well, my primary conclusion, bolstered by other posts he's made, is that Hippikos has no credibility.
I don't really have anything to offer regarding the actual content of the article, except to say that we already knew this war was a clusterfuck and I expect more evidence of severe mishandling will continue to come out over time. |
C'mon Clodfobble, don't pull punches, tell us what you really think.
True to form, the administration treats Iraq's assets(money) as they treat Iraq. Does anyone remember Bush promising Iraq's oil revenues would pay for the war? |
The main purpose of this war was to funnel money to Bush supporters and other big business underpinnings of the current administration. Doesn't matter whose money it is, and distributing it in large quantities of cash ensures that it is impossible to track.
Rest assured that plenty of American tax dollars are also now building mansions, exotic cars and buying hookers for people who already were wealthy. Haliburton, uber alles. And no, I don't have any citations. Just a wild guess on my part. Probably a real stretch. I mean, people in power never abuse their authority in order to make money. |
