Beer Fireball
 

Since I am no longer a subscriber to Cecil Adams and his forum, I thought I might ask the cellar dwellers this: is it possible to make fireballs as shown on Xena: Warrior Princess by drinking a swig of ale (or in Japan, sake) and spitting it out right in front of a lit torch? I heard that some fire-making wrestlers like Jerry Lawler used to do this very trick during real fights in bars. (The wrestlers use flashpaper in matches.)

You can do it with hard liquor that is over proof such as 151, for sure. Beer? I doubt.

No wonder sake worked so well; it must have been over 151 proof. In the show Xena destroyed a whole town doing the trick.

Eat a Habenyero pepper and the next day your Butt wi ll do the same !!

I should think the trick would be to spritz it out of your mouth as if it's a big sneeze, so the alcohol atomizes and catches fiire quickly and all at once.
