Miss Me???

I'm in sunny, humid, stormy Darwin, Northern Territory.

Having a ball.

Spent the first 3 days with Army dude, who is now on Pre Deployment Training in South Australia and now travelling around.

Went on a jumping croc boat cruise - scary shit and today went on a power boat cruise up Katherine Gorge, which was awesome coz its wet season up here and the gorge is seriously flooded and the white water was freaky to get through.

Tomorrow off to Kakadu National Park and more cruises along the flood plains with more crocs and wildlife, then finish the day in the hot springs.

Cant wait to get back and show you guys some pics :)

I've been wondering where the fuck you've been! Now I know!

Glad you're having a great time. It's awesome up there huh?

Tis, if army boy wasnt moving down my way, I would consider moving up here.

Although, would have to learn to live with frizzy hair!!

Now to me, you could put those four words in any order and they would make as much sense. Although in any order they would still sound exciting. Please can you explain further?

And although I don't really envy you your location (humid? sunny? bleuch!) it sounds like you're having a great time. I certainly envy the activities, they sound like my kind of holiday. Please do hurry back with the pics!

SG - you go on a fairly small boat down a river where there are about 10 crocs per kilometre.

The crocs are used to getting fed, so they swim out to the boat and the tour guides feed them with lumps of meat...they are encouraged to jump up to get them. The power these things have to get out of the water soooo high is scary...so is the way they look you in the eye as they sink down into *attack* position.

When you have a 2yr old and a 4yr old with you, the crocs consider them to be *croc candy* and tend to head straight to your end of the boat.

We were lucky (?) enough to witness a fight between Hannibal (1000kg/70yr old croc) and Michael (700kg croc with a white face and black body)...Hannibal went out on the bank to eat his food....scary creatures.

More to come :)
