Okay...I can't get Windows Media Player 11 to work with Firefox...any ideas from people who are lots smarter than me? Which is to say most anyone?

Use winamp

Try installing the Foxytunes plugin.

Choose the Windows Media Player.

That might work.

WMP and firefox are bitches and won't with each other. I have the same problems. I have to use IE for some stuff when I surf.

Ah. Didn't know that.
I haven't used IE in about 2 years.
And about 5 years for WMP.
I prefer "xmplay".

I already had Foxytunes installed. Checking WMP did the trick for playing the pesky Yahoo News videos I was having trouble with. Thanx!

More specifically, WMP 11's a bitch. WMP 10's ok. Of course, I'm speaking of WMP as a standalone application.

You're welcome.

Okay, more headaches with WMP and Firefox. I've got a Google homepage with a bunch of 'widgets/gadgets' installed. I downloaded one called Lapixies TV. Very cool, if it would work...which it won't, because it insists that I have to install fucking WMP, which FF won't do.

Any ideas for a brute force install of WMP to FF?

Wow. MS finally provided an installer file that actually worked. Will wonders never cease?
