IMHO every country with a Muslim majority will what they can to fuck us and our allies. I don't think they care about what they might lose from the west, they're happy to live in the 14th century.

Fuck. Seriously? I've been wrapped up in my own little local political situation lately (Council passed a vote to initiate early stages of school closure for a school in my ward) so haven't really been keeping up with the international scene....

I can't find anything about on the BBC News site. It doesn't seem to have hit here as a news story yet.

I don't think Bush has the political power to do anything military in Iran. He may not care about a disapproving public because he doesn't have to worry about being re-elected, but it would be political suicide for any supporters. Therefore, nobody will support him. If he chose this path, he would be going it alone. Congress might even cut off funding like Nixon's Cambodia bombing.
