Truck chase

I was watching MSNBC this afternoon, and saw one of the wildest police chase endings I've ever seen.

You can view video of it here.

That kinda shit hurts.

The "best" one I ever saw was of a 16 year old kid (I think) that stole a tractor in the back of his truck. I think his 15 year old girlfriend was with him. Anyway, they're speeding away from police, weaving in and out of traffic... come up to this intersection with a red light. Driver decides to chance it.

Just as he's running the red light, BAM!

Tractor trailer doing probably 50 MPH nails the side. This was a little Isuzu truck, and you can just see it compact. Didn't hit the front, didn't hit the bed - hit the cab. In other words, no way in hell the driver lived. Simply no way. Don't know about the passenger (girlfriend). I've only seen it once, but man... it was some seriously fucked up shit.

What's even wilder is that the driver initially walked away, but is now in critical condition at a hospital.

I saw that the other day on World's Scariest Police Chases or some such. Yeah, they were both killed according to the show. :( Looked like something from a movie, like the beginning of Meet Joe Black.

Two things to say about that:

1) HOLY CRAP!!!

2) They sure use strong concrete in Dallas.
