Can we stop linking the most abstract things as tributes to September 11? It's beyond absurd. Christ.

That was a match with Portugal. They're not Axis of Evil soccer players.

I know that this might be too late, but I never said the quote about the win of the US against Portugal being a tribute to the people of 9/11. In fact the guy who interviewed me asked me if I thought the win was a tribute. I told him that this was only sports. 9/11 was real life and a tragedy. You could not really talk about them the same way. I would like to think that I am not that shallow.

So googling one's own name really *does* work!

Leave it to the media to write the story before interviewing anyone or doing any research and then disregard or misrepresent anything at odds with the premise.

So, CB...why were you quoted (or rather, misquoted) in the first place? Was this a "man on the street" thing?
