I'd like to extend an apology to you for any slight you may feel I have caused you over my time here. I can't really remember a time when we've gotten along, but I guess things can change for everyone. I know I have been proven wrong in my assumptions of others, so perhaps I have been wrong about you also.

With this in mind, I would like to try and leave the past in the past and try to move forward on a more positive note.

I understand that you may not wish to do so. There have been some harsh and spiteful words between us, however for the sake of this community and the spirit in which it is run, I am hopeful that you will meet me half way.

For some reason you seem to think I have singled you out for special criticism. I have not.
At times when the board was slow and you were posting a lot, I'd come to the board and 90% of the new posts were by you. At that time it might of seemed that I was picking on you, but in truth I try to spread my objections evenly over all posts I disagree with.
The apparent fact that I disagree with you, on many subjects, should not be construed as a personal dislike. Don't make it personal, don't take it personal.

He definitely has not singled you out Ali.

cuz, being put in this position, he has the option of : (a) rejecting it out of hand and 'starting' the flamefest...or... (b)submitting to a forced truce and apologizing and 'meeting you halfway' (which you KNOW he won't do) or.....what? (c) he says he meant nothing personal, and is indifferent

......so you're 'not surprised' ...now he's a dick for not playing your little game?

it's an underhanded and passive aggressive way to attack, but it's an attack nonetheless.

because everyone thinks i'm a dick for saying what i think about people when they act up. i want you to understand that it is better to call someone out honestly than to try to maneuver them like this.

i like both of you. AND i think you can both be dicks.

but, most importantly, I accept both of you and see you as real people. and if it helps, you guys, you could gang up on me and feel some commonality for a while......you could agree on that one issue....that i'm a prick......and have a place to start mending your fences.

I support the use of pms for such apologies and discussions.

Indifferent? No, I have an opinion of everyone that posts regularly. I disagree with Ali on almost everything, and say so, but that doesn't mean I harbor a special dislike for her.

I was responding to this thread and other posts, that she made and then deleted, accusing me of stalking her and singling her out for abuse, which surprised the hell out of me at the time. Because she deleted the posts I let it go, but this thread tells me she still feels that way, so I felt it was time to tell her she is wrong.

This thread was making a public apology after having public scuffles. Nothing more and nothing less. Call it a new years resolution or whatever you like.

If any of you want to read anything more into it, that's your choice and not mine.

For the record, I don't recall ever accusing you of stalking me Bruce. Maybe I have, but I think you might have me confused with others who have accused you of such a thing. As to you disagreeing with pretty much everything I ever post, that's true, and is a big part of the problem I have with your responses to me. I think they're unreasonable and unrelenting and I don't think it's fair which is why I've snapped and said things I've later regretted and have then deleted.

LJ, I don't think you're a dick (not much anyway). You're entitled to your opinion as is everyone else. I appreciate your acknowledgement.

Now are you going to delete the thread or not Bruce?

I think what Ali wanted from this thread was to apologize to Bruce publicly for the things that were said publicly and for all the rest of us to stay the hell out of it. Honorable thought, but not gonna happen here.
