I'm thinking about cutting a hole above the doors at kitchen and going upstairs for floor diffuser or floor register, as a vent. To let heat that's trapped above door pass through. I have a couple of 120mm 12V fans and wondering about placing them in behind vents. Looking for power source now. Anyone want to pick this apart? Ideas, and suggestions? Thanks. Other than the fact, that the flapping house might fall, if I cut a load bearing member. :smack:

Grandparent's farmhouse had floor registers in two bedrooms, though the kitchen ceiling. Worked great for kitchen smells (coffee & bacon) getting lazy bones out of bed in the morning.

my house is so old and sieve like....that the heat downstairs just rises up through the floor boards. my son's room is freaking cozy....the kitchen is cold as balls.
