what kind of a fayg are you?

I'm a shoe Fayg, and a pen Fayg.

the only reason i don't have 100 pairs of shoes is because jinx would ridicule me.

as for pens.....I have an assortment, and i match them to my shirt/tie combo.

I only have one, but it's a blue marble Waterman fountain pen. Somewhat out of stereotype.

Gear fayg. My band has been pooling gig money to start upgrading our sound gear, and I've been online shopping. First, a 50' snake so our sound guy can actually run sound from *in front* of the mains, then all the D/I boxes and cables needed to actually plug everything into the snake. Then, some powered hot spot monitors for our keyboardist and our whistle/flute players, so they'll stop losing their place in the middle of songs because they can't hear. A few more gigs, and we'll go to a 24 channel board so that the bass and electric guitars can be mixed with the rest of the stuff, and we'll drive that with a 1500 watt amp for mains power (we only play smallish venues), and another 500 watts or so for floor monitors.

If go so far as getting lighting and such, we're going to have to buy slaves to haul it all, I'm afraid.

Lip products for me.
I always have Vaseline with me and usually three lip salves/ glosses.

I tend to pop on in my bag "just in case" then realise after a few days that I have a ridiculous supply of them building up.

But I'll still buy a new one if it catches my eye.

I collect fabric. Usually very expensive fabrics from all the best warehouses around the world ...............and usually when they are on sale :D I have some exquisite gowns to make one day.

Shoes, manchester and watches.

If I could be a men's torsos fayg....that would make the list

I do the lip salve thing, too. I currently have six in my purse.

I'm a fayg for shoes and purses and sparkely things on QVC.

You and John Wayne Gacy.

Coats/jackets.

I never seem to have just the right outerwear for the conditions I'm in. Then factor in how dressy I'm supposed to be, and I have too many damn coats/jackets. You've seen my commute. I walk 3 miles a day, so I need more than a jacket to just run to the car. If the jacket doesn't precisely match the weather, I'll be too hot, too cold, or too wet by the time I get there.

I have 7 in active rotation and 5 in reserves.

So that's where the gas money you're saving is going...lol

Paper. All types of paper....If anyone needs to get rid of any...pm me! I especially love all types of vellum. Aaaah! and oh! Suede paper is sexy.....If anyone needs to get rid of any of that, I am all about it!

Yep. Paper fetish, not exactly ghey but that would also depend on the context.
:D

LJ I'm right there with you man. My whole family ridicules my shoe collection. I think having choices in the morning is a good thing.

They don't even bother talking about my pens though. My favorite is my Monte Blanc platinum ball point, but I have a whole assortment of wood body pens I enjoy.

Why? cuz i can.

A friend of mine has a 100' snake that he runs out into the warehouse attached to his studio, to track instruments with giant reverb.

elSicomoro 04-14-2008 04:43 PM

Music...and I guess shoes and food, too.
