Mother's Day

What are you doing for mom on mother's day?

I think I am getting her a gift basket of teas. With my brother's help, I can get her the large size http://www.southernseason.com/ppf/ci...11462/prod.asp

My brother was looking for other ideas, so I directed him to www.ediblearrangements.com Nice way to send a bouquet. Plus, it's healthy. :)

May 11, 2008.

Sorry, I had to look it up and it wasn't posted...For the people as lame as I am...
:D

I usually call up every three or four days to hit her up for cash. I figure that week, I'll lay off.

(No, seriously, I haven't decided yet.)

My mom's birthday is right around Mom's Day (May 7), so we usually combine the two...though we try to compensate my mom accordingly. I think we're going out to dinner Thursday night...my stepdad will probably bbq the following Sunday and we'll give her gifts and cards.

My mom-in-law...eh, we'll probably give her her gifts and go out to dinner with her next Saturday.

nothing. ('cause she's passed on). I'll probably get a card from my kiddos.

Maybe. If I'm lucky.

I'll make her a card and treat her to a gallon of unleaded premium.

I usually celebrate Mother's Day by picking a phone number at random, calling up, and screaming that it's not my baby.

That edible arrangements sounds like a good idea...I think I'll see if boyfriend will go halfsies with me for his mom, so we can get her a semi-nice looking one...and for my mom...

Mebbe I'll finish one of the billions of paintings she's asked me for...

Ah crap, now I'll have to think up something for my dad to give to my gram too...well...thanks for the reminder anyway *goes back to thinking*

My sister sent one of those edible arrangements to my mom for easter. It never arrived. When she called the next day they were mildly apologetic (sorry, couldn't find the address and didn't have time to call the 2 numbers provided - too many other deliveries). They offered to try again on Tuesday if she wanted...

Calyx flowers are really the prettiest. Expensive though!

Martha Stewart's flowers are also very classy: http://ww21.1800flowers.com/landing....nerBeacon=true

wish someone would send me flowers!

Did they used to be Calyx & Corolla? If so they do a pretty good job of replacing their dead/dying mistakes... I ordered from them a million times but got sick of calling to complain.

I love Gladiolas and gave my mom some once for mother's day. Very classy and pretty!!She associates them with funerals and death....I did not know that.....

oops.

I've been on the receiving end of edible arrangements twice. There is a real wow factor. They are very impressive to look at. But to be honest, the fruit was poor quality both times. Unripe and flavorless. I think they have to be unripe to stay in place on the skewers.

Well, I got her a different, small tea sampler, and this bouquet:

I am happy, I hope she will be, too.
