I love Dr Mercola, but he does get on his high horse about stupid shit sometimes...

Nirvana 09-07-2008 07:12 PM

I have to agree Jinx some of his stuff is way in left field.

I only drink it occasionally...and I'm not even sure why. You can get more caffeine in a 20oz bottle of Mountain Dew, plus it's cheaper.

There was an Australian report recently which said the same thing. It made waves in this country. At least it got people talking and thinking about what they were drinking.

I see people letting their children buy this FFS. We were allowed one glass of Coke on Friday and Saturday nights - with a packet of crisps. That was our "supper" and it was a weekend treat. Yes I know it's not the 70s now, and people have a higher disposable income... Maybe the so-called credit crunch (which won't bite for a while and is at present mostly a media fad) will bring people back to some of the practices of my childhood. As a nation we were healthier then after all.

I can't stand the stuff, and it's got to be bad for you considering the nasty taste of it.

HungLikeJesus 09-09-2008 09:33 AM

I feel the same way about vegetables.

Sundae 09-09-2008 09:43 AM

Ahem - I think the PC term these days is severely disabled.

You mean like "The Bride" in Kill Bill?

I don't have anything against them personally, I just don't like the taste. I do eat lettuce on occasion, and I don't mind some of the roots (like carrots and potatoes), but I don't even know if those are classified as vegetables.

I don't know what's kept me alive all these years.
