Houston we have a problem
I've been watching these news reporters standing in puddles, holding their hats and bucking the winds telling people that they need to evacuate all the while some reporters are planning on staying in the Galveston Hotel which is right on the beach front set to take on that 22 foot surge.
I think this isn't responsible reporting. One part of me hopes they get scared silly tonight and the other part of me is worried for their stupid saftey. http://www.sciam.com/media/inline/blog/Image/avn-l.jpg http://radar.weather.gov/lite/N0Z/HGX_0.png It's huge! t's a monster! If I was in that hotel I'd be peeing my pants. |
Hey, neat. The bottom radar pic is updating.

It is! The storm wasn't that far in yesterday.
|
I heard from my Houston buddy last night. He expects to lose power and have to cope with that heat/humidity without AC but aside from that things should be okay.
|
Its starting to get a bit intense out. I'm hoping water and power don't go out. I was lazy and didn't prepare.

Oh no, how close are you to the storm MTP??
I just talked to my dad, who lives in San Antonio, and he said it just started rain a little, but they don't expect to see much more than that. |
