Movin on up...into the mountains

So, Saturday is the official day we get to pack up all our junk and move. Yes, this is an upgrade for us. The current house we live in is about 1100 sq feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. It is nicely finished inside, but much too small...especially in the summer. We found a house that suits our family well and it is farther out of Denver by about 15 miles. Last weekend, we brought some things up to store in the downstairs apartment before the current resident moves.

I will post more pictures during and after the move. I have a to do list right now that is about 4 miles long!

I'm only completely and totally jealous!

Wow!

OOh awesome! I am so jealous! It's great that you guys are getting more space! Any studio room 'round there? You didn't say how much more room you are getting!

Niiice. Is it a large lot? Half an acre? Full acre? Looks so cozy. Look at all that potential firewood around, is there a fireplace? I thinkj that's the best kind of place for kids to grow up in. (not that I know jack squat about kids) But I think they are going to love it.

:)

I am totally overwhelmed with glee about the place.

It is quite a bit more space for us. The main floor and second floor are somewhere around double the space we have now. Plus, the basement is finished out as a 1 bedroom apartment complete with a kitchen and bathroom. I plan to use the apartment for a studio. I would like to hold classes there or even allow for other artists to share the studio with me.

The house has a wood pellet stove, but not a regular fireplace. Still, better than no stove! The property is 6 acres and it is mostly all those pines and aspens.

I forgot this picture...this is a view from the edge of the property. I liked this picture because of the fog that day:
