Iran ... Iraq ... what's the diff

Alan Jackson writes, in Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning):
Quote:

I watch CNN but I'm not sure I could
Tell you the difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
Now, let me get this straight ... news reports today say that Al Qaeda deputies are being harbored in Iran ... and ... the U.S. is going to attack Iraq.

Commenting in the latter article:
Quote:

''We declared almost a year ago that we would punish Iraq after Sept. 11,'' said Meyraw Wurmser, director of the Center for Middle East Policy at the Hudson Institute. ''If the Iraqis have been involved in Sept. 11, and the administration claims that is the case, they should have been punished before now.''
On the same day, Bush entertains Saudi ambassador Prince Bandar bin Sultan at the Western White House, as if, 15 of the 19 hijackers had not been Saudis.

Now, we knew going into this administration that Dubya don't know from geography ... but he does understand big oil.

Don't you just love the body language in the official photo of that meeting?

"Hey asshole! That's the fucking arm of the couch! You're gonna break it...and since we're in Texas, that's grounds for execution." :)

dateline Western Whitehouse

Bush family friend Prince Bandar bin Sultan was injured today when he choked on a pretzel and fell off a couch. Informed sources say the incident had nothing to do with Saudi Arabia's reluctance to allow their territory to be used as a staging area for the long awaited attack on Bush family enemy Saddam Hussein.

...Snyders of Hanover commented that vigorous government funded studies have proven the safety of their sourdough nibblers. However many independent labs conclude that the generous surface salting has been shown to promote thirst.
