Isn't bathtub one word?

elSicomoro 09-26-2002 11:35 PM

For the love of God juju, don't you fucking know anything? EVERYBODY knows that in Philadelphia, bath tub is two words.

Well, my dictionary says it's one word.

You can't just go changing the English language around whenever you feel like it. Then there'd be chaos! Ultimate chaos! What that guy wrote was not legal English. Therefore, it is nothing but meaningless blather. I can't decipher it.

I particularly like the "Hanks maintenance" :D

Undertoad 09-27-2002 11:09 AM

Wait a minute... it's not "the man" at all... it's "HE-man"!

He-man will be fixing your bath tub!

He'll probably just rip the whole thing out in one motion.

dave 09-27-2002 11:16 AM

Nah, I can see the T in that one (the man), but it does not say "thanks" :)

elSicomoro 09-27-2002 11:29 PM

"I have the powerrrrrrrr..."

He was trying to write "Thanks," but combined his h and a.

I'm just wondering why he left a note...Rho's been home all week (another thread). She thinks that he rang the doorbell the other day, and she ignored him. (We don't get a lot of people at our crib, so when the doorbell rings, we are immediately suspicious.)

Update

Well, "the man" did refinish the tub...and let me tell you...he did a shitty job.

I like the fact that they refinished the tub in its original color--beige. (When they refinished the tub 2 years ago, they did it in white.) However, the surface is really rough in some spots, particularly near the tub drain.

Go figure..."the man" setting me up for a fall again...*grumbles*
