Strange Children's Book

It's a strange book, as well as a book for strange children.

The author is the nephew of one of my cow orkers.

Ladybug and the Awesome Bug Book Adventure

When you click on the read the book link, you can have the book read to you!

I liked the bit about the toxic farts.

Cool book. I like the idea of having a book read. For kids who don't can't get that at home, I think it may be better than TV. I also like the illustrations. I can't say I'm thrilled with the anthropomorphising though, and the whole bit where the ladybug decides that anorexia is a better choice of action than eating aphids because he/she is uncomfortable about eating the ant's friends. I don't think disney helped anything when he gave animals human attributes, this story isn't helping things much either in that regard.

Kids are confused enough as it is.

There are more than a few elements that seem somewhat adult in nature. I thought it was cute, though. And the bedroom that he drew is apparently very much how his childhood bedroom looked, according to his aunt.

Our local library has a www.tumblebooks.com account. If you have a library card, you can log in and have thousands of books read to you, at all age levels.

Hmmm, an adult book? Maybe I need to watch it again.
