podcasts--do you really listen to them?

lots of cool ones, but I find the implementation hard to work out in RL. I don't quite understand how they cycle in my itunes--they seem to drop off, or cycle or something not convenient. I guess I am still struggling with the concept.

DanaC 03-28-2010 03:12 PM

I listen to a couple of them intermittently, but I don't subscribe to any, I just dl them as I want them.

Cloud 03-28-2010 03:15 PM

yeah, the subscription thing is hard to figure out. it's also damn tricky to delete stuff in iTunes, so they tend to clutter up my devices.

DanaC 03-28-2010 03:16 PM

I haven't noticed any difficulty deleting stuff in itunes.

Cloud 03-28-2010 03:19 PM

you can delete, but if you synch your device back, sometimes the songs/whatever show up again. you have to make sure to synch both

DanaC 03-28-2010 03:29 PM

Ahh, gotcha. Do you have sync checked items only selected?

Cloud 03-28-2010 03:54 PM

er . . . yes?

DanaC 03-28-2010 04:47 PM

Bugger. Then I don't know :P

TheMercenary 03-28-2010 05:07 PM

I listen to a ton of ones from Public Radio, NPR, Market Place, ATC, PHC, and a bunch of others.

zippyt 03-28-2010 05:58 PM

I grab Car talk from NPR every few weeks ,
Itunes just Grabs the latest

TheMercenary 03-28-2010 06:23 PM

So can you configure Itunes to grab specific shows on a regular basis? I didn't know that.

zippyt 03-28-2010 06:37 PM

Yeah , Just go to Itunes , My device , there is a Tab for Pod casts
You have to play with it some , but you can get it to grab yer pod casts For you

TheMercenary 03-28-2010 06:49 PM

Can I do it just for my computer without having an Ipod? That is where I download mine to hear them.

zippyt 03-28-2010 06:52 PM

You Should be able to , there is a Pod cast dir in i tunes

TheMercenary 03-28-2010 07:12 PM

Thanks zippy. I will have to play with the program to see if it can capture what I want. 99% of it is all NPR and Public Radio stuff.
