Maybe I shouldn't have eaten a half pound of dried apricots today.

I am beginning to see the extent of my inability to moderate my intake of just about everything. It's as though there were no satiety switch, I usually just consume until I don't feel so well. Or have the runs.

When it comes to work I'm the same way; immoderate. I just work until I can't keep my eyes open or until I injure myself and get sidelined.

I am grateful I never took up cigarettes or heroin.

Does moderation come naturally to you? Did you need to learn it? Did your parents exhibit it? Addiction in your family?

No, I have no moderation. It's all or nothing. That's why I don't gamble or take illegal drugs.

You are SO going to regret those apricots -your arsehole will be filing for divorce from your intestines.

We're having a trial separation right now. I'm debating whether I need to go out and get a dedicated tube of chapstick...

I am a creature of extremes with no self control and for whom the phrase 'delayed gratification' might as well be written in Greek.

My diet is entirely mood/craving based. When I am into a particlar food, i eat that food until i am sick of the sight of it. I cannot have goodies in the house without eating the lot. Biscuits are made to be eaten by the pack, not in individual portions.

oh no. dedicated tube of chapstick

thanks a lot for THAT visual.

Half pound of apricots?

How's that 'shitting your guts out' working for ya?

I was thinking it sounded like a good idea....

...and if the kids -who are always nicking my chapstick- are bad... sweet passive aggressive revenge :D

Did you mean "they're", or are you saying something else?

Freudian slip?

Normally I can practice moderation, but it is something I have to be very mindful about. In the past (and every now and then even now), I could consume in one day things like a freshly made german chocolate cake or a batch of warm tollhouse chocolate chip cookies...or stuff like a whole bag of cheese popcorn in one sitting.

Tulip 04-03-2010 11:52 PM

Sooooooooo.....apricots will clear the drain? A person with chronic constipation wants to know. :D

Crimson Ghost 04-04-2010 03:47 AM

They did for me.
