Somehow I missed this
What's the most translated document in the world? It's not the Bible, it's . . .
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, a document conceived by the UN after World War II. Quote:

note that the WikiP article includes criticism of the document by certain segments of society. Gee, the Muslims don't seem to care for it much . . . because then they'd have to acknowledge rights of freedom of religion and gender equality. Go figure.
|
Do you think it's the most translated because the UN paid to have it printed in every conceivable tongue?
|
and they have all those staff translators handy.
to clarify, it wasn't the translated stat I missed, it was the existence of the document itself |
Don't feel bad, the UN puts out lots of stuff nobody knows about. :haha:
|
Don't worry about the document Cloud, no one is actually using it. ;)
