American Honey

Wild Turkey Bourbon.

I bought a bottle today, and I have to say I'm impressed. I've been known to sip the odd Makers Mark in my time, but I think this is the best bourbon I've every sipped. Mind you, it does say it's a liquer blend, so that probably accounts for something, but still, it's a nice drop.

I assume there's a few of you have taken a tipple of this one by now?

Sweet 75 proof liqueur?

I've never sampled Wild Turkey.

I have tried Pendelton and it's very smooth Canadian whiskey made right here.

Isn't Wild Turkey like Southern Comfort?

Both of which sound like euphemisms on a brothel menu. For all i know about such things.

Wild Turkey is just a bourbon. I like it in its original form, but this new version is very nice. It's basically just the standard bourbon mixed with a honey liquer.

Wild Turkey and So Co were what we drank in college dorms. Good stuff...barfy memories. I wish I hadn't ruined the taste for myself way back when.

Southern Comfort tastes like a less herbal, less sophisticated Drambuie. Based on bourbon. Nice over vanilla ice cream.

Shawnee123 05-10-2010 07:40 AM

Southern Comfort = Liqueur
Wild Turkey = So NOT liqueur.

Some of you suck at being alcoholics!

Same here. Yuck.

I've never liked the smell or taste of whiskey. Don't know why, it turns my stomach and not from a bad experience or anything.
