The enemy is unmasked

I realize this is tedious, but if you have the time, at the 3:04 mark the enemy is unmasked.

On one hand, she's just a stupid college student and there are a lot of stupid college students who are highly idealistic.

On the other hand.

lookout123 05-12-2010 01:45 PM

Wow. I was waiting to hear some idealistic speech about peaceful ideals and misunderstandings. I was not expecting that.

classicman 05-12-2010 01:51 PM

 Shock and awe. At least she was honest about it. thats all I got for the positive.

As soon as I saw the scarf, I knew where she was at.:eyebrow:

Looks like a very bad phase to be much embarrassed about later....on video. I agree, wrapped up in the wrong stupid-idealistic college crowd...

Aliantha 05-12-2010 10:01 PM

...or maybe it's got nothing to do with the college crowd and everything to do with her upbringing?

Either way, it'd be interesting to know how an educated young woman can come to the conclusions she has.

After watching that, I have a compulsion to buy more ammo...and let my fingers do the walking as I look for a new support group...let's see...m i l i t i a...ahh, there it is!

Regardless of her education she has chosen submission to a religion that has not dragged itself screaming and kicking out of the Dark Ages, but rather seeks to drag all others, screaming and kicking, back into them.

Aliantha 05-13-2010 01:00 AM

Sure, but I still think it'd be interesting to know how someone living in a western, predomiinantly Christian culture can hold to those beliefs when they're clearly not stupid.

wolf 05-13-2010 01:09 AM

Faith is non-rational. And she probably bought the line about how much Islam honors women (despite considering them worth less than a man for inheritance and property ownership purposes).

Or she was born into it, and knows that her father and brothers will kill her if she tries to give it up. Fear is a big motivator, although in most religions that's a fear of deity rather than fear of other believers.

Keep 'em cloistered, and keep brainwashing 'em.

Griff 05-13-2010 05:30 AM

Wow.

I watched it again last night. I also watched some other clips of Horowitz. Very interesting. The one at UC Santa Barbara had some other, apparently many, college students with that same scarf on. WOW! I had no idea.

Trilby 05-13-2010 08:37 AM

Depths of ignorance and stupidity march across her face - and she seems rather proud of it.

I hope her scarf doesnt' get caught in the spokes of any wheels.
