Dash across the middle states
 

Zlet #2 is heading toward senior year. We've planned a set of college visits in a couple of weeks.

Indiana U. (Bloomington, IN)
Miami Oh, (Oxford, OH) (We'll wave at you Ohio folks as we pass)
Penn State (State College, PA)

Three visits in three days. I'm a little concerned about the oxford to state college drive. Google says it's right around 8 hours. But it takes us through US -119 between I-70 and I-99. Anybody been through there? What's the speed limit? Are we going to have to slow down at every little town?

The "real" speed limit on PA highways is 74, but I'd set the cruise at 71 in case there are some bored cops trying to make quota.

I hope the arcades are still there in State College. Best arcades ever. I probably put several hundred dollars in them in my youth. Pinball, early video games...

I know Miami U is a good school.

Isn't IU where they filmed Breaking Away? (One of the best movies ever!) I just looked it up, and yes it is. A bunch of friends and I saw that movie at the theatre and I will never forget how we, for months afterwards, would say "Refund? REFUND?" I noticed on the imdb boards someone mentioned that part.
