What are some of your favorite words ?

I've already said in another thread that one of my favorite words is "indolent" because it goes so well in bombastic phases, such as "indolent, but not feckless"

Of course, "bombastic" is in and of itself, bombastic

Another word I like a lot if "peculiar".
To me it sounds peculiar and has a peculiar spelling... there ought to be a "q" in there somewhere.
It can be used in so many different ways to mean so many different things, even that is peculiar.

Please add some more to my list...

[Famous Author whose name shall not be in Google Alerts] used it in the nonfiction workshop I attended Saturday. I witnessed twelve workshop participants do a mental double-take because nobody knew what it meant but nobody was gonna admit to it. ;)

And I still don't think she used it quite right; I think she meant "credible" but was so much in love with her Famous Author status that she felt compelled to toss in a few $100 words. Extra value for our workshop tuition, you know.

I've always enjoyed the words "don't" and "stop". As in, "Don't stop! Oh, God, don't stop!!"
