Who will win
This story was printed in my apartment complex monthly newsletter:
A Cherokee Indian chief was teaching his grandson about life... "A fight is going on inside me" he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self doubt and ego. The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person too." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old chief replied, "The one you feed." |
Think I needed to read that. Thanks.

Thank you Shel.

very nice.

A good tale.

Sounds like a message a child could understand...

That was fairly cool.

Explains a lot about our culture declining in the last 40 or 50 years.

True. What we feed ourselves is what we'll shit out. Think positive and you'll act positive, think negative and you'll act negative. Simple.
|
Not that simple, one man's positive and all that.
|
internally, I think it IS just that simple.
if you live in hate, you'll be hateful. if you feed the hate-body, it grows, it becomes stronger than you. just like any other addiction. if nothing else, being aware of these wolves as separate from your self, and affectable is key. thanks, Shel! |
Thats pretty deep. Interesting story.

This is a very old story.
