8 Mile
 

I went to 8 mile. Was actually quite impressed. If I could have just gotten past the fact that the lead character is eminem it would have been a lot better. But anyways I think it's a movie that will help dispell the fact that Singers, or rappers at least, can't do a decent movie. Really was a thought provoking movie.

Mr. Mathers is getting a ton of praise for this flick. From the interviews I've read and seen, he seems to have matured a bit.

Ya know, he could very well be on the same path as Mark Wahlberg. He went from New Kids kickout to somewhat-thuggish rapper to critically acclaimed movie star. And you can see the change through his interviews over the years.

Incidentally, my cousins grew up with the former New Kids in the Dorchester section of Boston. The first time they told me, I nearly fell out.

er, wrong Wahlberg. Donnie was the New Kid; Mark was from Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.

Mark Wahlberg was originally in the New Kids, but was replaced by Joe McIntyre...apparently his mother thought he was too young to be in the group at the time. Hence, why I said "New Kids kick out."

I can't believe I'm having this conversation with you. Furthermore, I can't believe that I remember the above information.
