Netflix on Wii with no disc!

Just downloaded the Netflix channel, now we can get to Netflix via the console, even while a game disc is in.

Also downloaded the internet channel--currently watching Super Mario speedruns on Youtube, on the Opera browser, on my TV, while posting about it on the Cellar, on my Blackberry. This is getting ridiculous.

I have the Roku box, and while I've installed the Netflix Channel on the Wii (on the same television), I don't use it much because I have a probably false expectation that the useful life of the Wii would be diminished by using it as a movie viewer.

I also have a Roku-HD set up with a PC and a flat screen TV at home...my wife loves it. I find it...usable. Just don't accidentally set the wrong video out function or resetting the darn thing can be a three-bitch job!

Streaming is unlimited, now too.

What exactly do you mean, i.e. how was it limited before?

You used to only get as many hours per month as dollars you were paying.

We have the minimum $9 plan = 9 hrs per month of streaming. Kids have discoverd that the Monty Python TV series is available. I said if you watch a 1/2 hour episode everyday you'll use up the quota and have to wait each month to get the rest. Then we noticed it is now unlimited

Oh screw that. We watch that thing all day long. Whole seasons of episodes, one after the other after the other. Kids movies, the same ones ten times a day, every day. God know how many hours we rack up.

Us too (through the PS3, instead of the Wii.) It's a neverending ballad of "Go Diego, Go!" episodes during the day, and popular TV series that Mr. Clod and I can't watch on schedule at night.
