The Ethical Governor by John Butler, is a look at future combat using autonomous aircraft. These machines make decisions based on parameters set by command headquarters and can be changed on the fly(no pun).



What could possibly go wrong? :rolleyes:

Is this really ethical, or just more efficient?
Who calibrates the conscience factor, since there's no such thing as a standard conscience?
Brigadier General jack Ripper (Dr Strangelove) would have a field day with this.
