In case you missed it, it looked something like this.
My wife and kids got up to see it. Good for them. My bed was warm.
Happy solstice everyone. |
Nice limey!
My bed was warm too glatt. Plus it was overcast. so |
What's amusing me is that I have a couple of US friends on Facebook who felt the need to post during the eclipse to get that time stamp on there to prove that they did indeed see the eclipse at 3:00AM. Like the eclipse isn't enough of an experience. Instead of jumping back into the warm bed, you have to go onto Facebook first to make things complete.

Heh. I have a friend who did the same thing, but she is crazy that way. Oh, and a really good photographer.
Good news, bad news. I was up, computer was up, camera full of electrons, sky full of clouds. Dangit. Extra credit: When was the last time the winter solstice was during a full moon?
Back in the 1600's was the last full eclipse
Actually, a solstice full moon happened recently, a few in fact. But a solstice eclipse is much rarer. NASA says 1638 for the last one, and 2094 for the next one.
I'm not sticking around for the next one.
Lovely, xob!
It were cool. I stayed up to watch, and since I was still awake-ish, I made more fudge.
Cool picture Limey - well done.
Am I the only person who saw Bruce's post and thought of anal beads...? |
