I hope this is the year for me.

I hope this is the year I find someone to love. I get quite lonely at times. It's not easy for me to meet women in my area due to my job (police chief) and appearance. Let's face it, I'm short, fat, and balding. My Lupus leaves my skin mottled & often I look like the stereo-typical drunk. I have bi-lateral tremors, geez the list just goes on & on.

What do I have to offer? Love & respect. I love children & they seem to enjoy me. I'm well versed in history and I love to travel. While I have a gruff/alpha male personna, I admit I sometimes shed a tear when I watch the Hallmark channel.

I've been alone for 2 years. Will this be my year?

I hope so Sarge. You seem like a lovely, genuine guy to me. What's not to love? Good luck, mate!

Yes. As long as you stop watching the hallmark channel (is there really such a thing/). Where do you currently go that you might meet potentials?

A LOT of people use online dating now. I've heard good things about OKCupid. I hadn't tried it yet before I got drunk at my bro's 4th of July party and banged my sis-in-laws friend. I might tho after I break up with the guy.

We should hang out Sarge. I'm the polar opposite of your job, am a scofflaw, am short, fat, but have a headful o' hair.

One of us is bound to make the other look good!

great advice.

As someone who hasn't been looking for at least two years now, I can tell you that this is not the case. Unless your daily life brings you into contact with a regular amount of strangers, it's unlikely that anyone will simply turn up.

plthijinx 01-07-2011 10:28 AM

well it's usually when you least expect it. your busy doing something else, not looking or even caring if you get into a relationship, then, BAM! you're in one wishing you were single again! lol! j/k on the last part but that's how it usually happens to me.

plthijinx 01-10-2011 10:20 PM

now if i could just get a FWB then i'd be really happy now! don't want a relationship....

Big Sarge 01-12-2011 07:21 PM

I meet lots of interesting women...at the jail. Somehow I don't think that's the best place to start a meaningful relationship.

SG - you just need to come over here for a visit ;)
