ANZAC Day

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

I will remember the 8000 young lives lost at Gallipoli, and thousands others during the great war, and all the senseless wars since.

I will remember.

It's important we don't forget. And not, of course, just the 8,000 Australians and the New Zealanders who lost their lives at Gallipoli but also the 20,000 British, the 10,000 French, all of those from India, North America and elsewhere - and please never, ever forget the Turkish boys who had their lives ended too - perhaps 80,000 of them - some countries could never recover from that.

Has there ever been a more senseless war?

i like the vid! the band has a great sound to them. i cannot imagine what it's like to be shot at in hate. or war. i have been shot before, though a hunting accident. hurt like all hell. 20 ga. at a moderate but not far enough distance. felt like 40 grit sandpaper rubbed on my skin for 30 minutes then a salve of gasoline lit on it for the next, oh i dunno, 8 hours or so. until i got medical attention. from my dad. who shot me. i never did bring another "f" home on my report card! j/k about the "f" thing. hunting accident through and through.
