Romance Porn (NSFW)
I found an interesting story that has an odd mix of extremely hardcore porn and romance. At 77 chapters, it's the equivalent of about a 400 page novel.
The sex depicted is very XXX. The writing is good, but the editing is terrible with typos, incorrect homonyms (their instead of there, etc) and in some cases cheesy porn cliches (how many different words are there for penis). Still, plot, character, and dialog are pretty good. So, if we take into consideration that it is porn, which means based on some adolescent fantasy and may be some degree of misogynistic, can you grade the amount of romance in the story? Can it in any way be considered a romance novel? For comparison, consider mainstream 'bodice rippers', which some people would classify as depicting date rape. I will give it a go when I am in the right mood, and let you know.
I'm not a fan of mixing romance and sex - I prefer it to be one or the other. I always filter out "romance" as a description when searching for slash. I prefer to click the box for "explicit sex" :yum: I have a horrible feeling my internal grammar-Nazi will spoil it for me though. My version of the Silent Singer. |

Haven't clicked the link yet, but find all those errors you mentioned, jarring, even in the trashiest trash.

After reading (and re-reading) the first few chapters I can say three things.
1) It's a good story 2) It's pretty erotic, even if some of the sex acts are ones I would not ever consider. 3) It very badly needs editing. If I had a red pencil and printed out a copy, by the time I got finished it would look like one of those red checkered tablecloths you see in Italian restaurants. Still, the plot is interesting enough to make it worth wading through the errors. Sundae, we could make a game of it and see who spots more errors:D. Bad writing doesn't count unless it violates composition rules. On second thought, there really are so many that just keeping score would be exhausting. At the rate I found them, I'm guessing between 200-300 errors in 77 chapters. It's like there are two authors - one who comes up with a great story and the other one who makes 10th grade mistakes in spelling. |

snort. Is some Smith girls foray into erotica. I give it a B for story and flunk her for grammar. |
Well as they say, "You can't get into Smith, but you can Mount Holyoke."
