I hope...

My children outlive me

Easy to organise, but it might interfere with some of your other plans.

true...

monster 07-18-2011 10:26 PM

I have other hopes for them, but that's my selfish one.

I Hope.....

that somehow, somewhere, at some point in the future, the world population will agree on some basic religious tenets and accept that not everyone has religion and so we can all fight about more important and more easily winnable stuff.

I hope to get to a point where I no longer need to hope.

Aliantha 07-19-2011 12:05 AM

I hope I can swallow (food and drink) without grimacing tomorrow.

It is...BUT, in the novella (Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption) Stephen King left it at "I hope..." One didn't know if Red ever found Andy in Zihuatanejo. It's nice to know he did, but it takes that wondering imagination factor out.

I hope to live long, get old, but with all my physical and especially mental capacities. I'd love to be the funny old bat who cracks everyone up at the old people apartments where I want to live: The Morris House in Troy OH. My mom and I visited an open house and the apartments were awesome. Not like a nursing home at all. One lady had her place completely decorated with cat stuff, but it looked totally classy and elegant.

We've been touring assisted living and independent living places for my father in law, who will be moving into one soon. They aren't at all like I remember from my childhood. You don't have to breath through your mouth because the smell is so bad. They are pretty nice! Freaking expensive though.

infinite monkey 07-19-2011 11:24 AM

I think The Morris House is expensive and hard to get into. It's just lovely. You have someone there if you really really need them, and you can get your meals. It's built in an old renovated building (something I love anyway) and it's right in beautiful downtown Troy (a gorgeous little city.)

Sigh. I hope I am able to meet Sundae someday
