August 20, 2011 Bee Man
In a competition to attract bees, this beekeeper is wearing only goggles and shorts. What about nose plugs and ear plugs? If I was a visiting bee, I might wander into these dark holes to see where I could make some honey.
His competitor was a bit more cautious and wore (bamboo?) nose plugs to keep the curious bees at bay. http://cellar.org/2011/bees.jpg The bee-attracting contest was held in Shaoyang, in the Hunan Province of China. The beekeepers used queen bees they had raised to attract other bees. They stood on scales and in 60 minutes, Wang Dalin, completely covered in bees, was declared the winner, weighing in at 57 pounds. Lv Kongjiang, pictured above, attracted 50 pounds of bees to his body. This is nothing compare to the 87 pounds of bees worn by animal trainer Mark Biancaniello, as recorded in the Guinness Book of Records in the category of "most pounds of bees worn on the body." Cali you are doing an awesome job.
Can I say you're the bees knees without having to kill myself? Ah... no [bang] |
Looks like he has a really bad case of hives.

I guess coming second wouldn't sting as much as coming third.
|
He looks like the front of the car my wife took out for field work last week.

What's yellow, and black and yellow all over?
|
I came very close to brush hogging two separate active bald-faced hornet nests today. That would have been bad mojo. Last time I got a sting from one of those my arm got very large.
|
I guess you'd bee pretty mad if that had happened huh Griff?
