Here are some new portable storage devices. The keychain "DiskOnKey", on the left, is solid-state, plugs right into USB ports and has capacities of up to 512 MB (or at least they hope to this year). The "Pockey" is the squarish one; it's a real hard drive, again USB-powered, up to 20GB in your pocket. The whole thing is about the size of your hand and only .5" thick. The other one, on the right, is simply called "Q", but I could not find any information on it.

Could they come up with dumber names?

I assume they use "Q" in reference/homage to Desmond Llewyn(sp?), the man that gave James Bond every gadget we would kill to get.

If that's the case, then all that ridicule that device's name shall be subject to flaying by pointy stick.

I would think so too, but if it doesn't blow up or emit poison gas, the name really is inappropriate. If it DOES, I hope the instruction manual is well proofread...

I can see it now:

Quote:

"Now, 007, you take this device, plug this end in the USB port of any standard computer, and it shall crack into any system you want, cover any evidence that it happened, emit a cloud of smoke, fire a laser beam out of the tip, tell you American President Bush's standardized test scores, declare war on Poland, and order you a pizza. Any questions?"
