September 22, 2011 Horsemanning
The original version:
http://cellar.org/2011/horsemaning_3-old.jpg Popular in the 20's, people liked to pose in photographs as though they had been beheaded, in imitation of the Headless Horseman. Hence the name Horsemanning. The modern version: http://cellar.org/2011/horsemaning9_540x405.jpg The original photo (at the top) was found at a yard sale or flea market, posted to the internet, and a new artistic form was born. via Horsemanning, Oddee, CBS News |
