It can be dangerous to fly

Co-pilot flips passenger airplane nearly upside down.

They left this part of the story out.

Thats better than what I was thinking

Here hold my Saki...

The actual explanation is just as scary:

Quote:

Here's what happened: the co-pilot mistook the rudder trim knob for the cockpit door lock switch so when he "opened the door" for his captain, he actually caused the jet to roll (130 degrees) and drop 1,900 meters in 30 seconds.
But no, flying is not at all dangerous.

Crashing is dangerous.

There's only one sure thing about flying...

You'll land one way or another.

Also remember : a landing where you can get away from the plane on your own two legs is a good one.

What's the vector, Victor?

You learn that in Jump School. Gravity cannot be beaten.

Wait a minute. Why does a plane have a big "fly upside down" button in the first place?

glatt 10-01-2011 06:56 AM

The same reason all the spaceships in the movies have self destruct buttons with timers.

Grabbing the wrong knob often has thrilling consequences.

Sundae ftw
