Emergency Alert System Test
Nationwide in USA in about half an hour.
Just in case you didn't know. Better not interupt my cellar access is all I can say. |
How weird will this be?
Do I need to have a TV or radio...will it be over the webz????? I'm frightened and cold. |
so, all you terrorists that want to get an attack in while the emergency systems are being ignored.... now's your chance!
duh. |
heehee

Just like the tornadoes, on the second Wednesday of each month. Biding their time. Fuckers. I'm on to them!
|
I don't hear the sirens usually -especially on windy days and it is windy this afternoon. And i don't have the radio or tv on ....will I know? Will i get an emergency email or FB message?
|
Oh, just TV and radio.
Still, after all these years, we neglect to alert the po' folk. :headshake Duty calls (hops on horse): And I on the opposite shore will be Ready to ride and spread the alarm Through every Middlesex village and farm For the country folk to be up and to arm. |
I can't hear the tornado alarm at my house either. Unless it's sunny and 70 degrees and 0-10 mph winds.

Minority Report and Double Indemnity. highlight at your peril. |
Well that was dumb. I had I Heart Radio in my ear, and the same old squawky beep as the other, more local (?) emergency alert sound came on, then a noise like either the ocean, or a tornado, or a nuclear bomb came on for a while, then the ending squawky beep.
that was it. I can see how prepared it will make me. |
the station I was listening to had just started the news at the top of the hour. a female announcer voice began "The nations emergency alert-beeeeeeeeep" T'was funny!
