Lying Spirits...
 

I think that as a christian one of the WORSE sins you can commit is LING. Why because it destroys credibility. Not only yours and not only to person you lie to, but it's makes God out to be futile. Be Not Deceived, God is Not mocked a man reaps what he sews.

So I am feeling really like a wretched idiot, and like I have Zero Credibility. Why, because I have a lying spirit. So how do I go about getting some credibility back. I suppose it starts with ME. I have to repent of ling and resist this ling spirit. What about you???

I hate lying spirits. If the bottle says 80 Proof, that’s what it should be ... not 77 or 75.

Don't be so down on lying. It's one of the things that separates us from the other animals. It's a vital social skill. It has its place.

If you don't like to be a liar it's very simple. Don't lie. Does your god expect you to be super-human? You go through each day doing the best you can and if you think lying is wrong, don't do it. If you screw up and do it, make it right.

This "I have to be holier than thou" attitude is the crap that's tripping you up.

You want to be a good person? Be a good person.

Simple.

It's a credibility Issue. People have caught me in a lie and now I have no credibility. Repentance is like a 12 step program. So I just tell people I'm 2 steps ahead of horrible. Regaining trust is difficult. Once you loose credibility you have to work very hard to get it back. I hate being labeled as a liar and now I have to make a conscious effort to change.

Well, it seems like you're doing that, and that's good.

"Where are you now" is the best way to look at it. You can't beat yourself up forever. :)

'Now' I am in HUD housings making about 700 dollars a month off of disability plus 150 in food stamps with no Job and I'm a diagnosed skitzofrentic. I take my medicine religiously .. it's the best I can do with the given circumstance..
