Doll Fight!

I just got back from seeing local band Doll Fight! at Higher Ground and I'm so enamored that I have to recommend them to anyone who'll listen. Fantastic all-girl power trio doing angry loud riot-grrl punk. I dunno if any of you old farts are into that punky stuff, but I highly highly recommend them. dollfight.com

Cheeky young shit ;)
Some of us lived through the original punky stuff y'know.

Not for me. I love the energy, but I prefer a bit more of a tune.

Thank goodness that fad passed for most of us. ;)
fine for you though - whatever floats yer musical boat.

I agree that it's not that tuneful - I have lots of other music that I enjoy when I want tuneful. I love the energy, and its great to see that riot grrrl isn't dead.

Problem is, most of us are old enough to remember another band that had an exclamation mark in their name, and they were tripe.

(That's WHAM!, Ibram, but don't bother to youtube it. Seriously.)

Of course I know Wham!, but just in my iTunes alone, I also have Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Los Campesinos!, The Go! Team, On!Air!Library!, Panic! at the Disco (yeah, alright, doesn't really help my case...), and Pony Up!. Exclamation points are a little tacky but not an automatic write-off.
