Usually my thumb is the preferred digit.

I have my snotologist come and deal with it 15 minutes before I wake up. She is supposed to feed the boogers to the venus fly traps in the greenhouse, but I suspect she auctions them on ebay.

Picked 10 times - 6 boogers. got 4 crispies, 2 gooeys in one nostril, no megaeaters. Oh well.

Well, usually I only do it if I can feel a bogie in one of the nostrils. So I'll start with that one.
