The highlight of my week

I was in our local Gas -n- Sip this morning getting coffee and as I was leaving a young kid on his way to Jr. high school held the door open for me. I said "Thanks." and he replied, "No doubt, buddy." Very friendly and sincere, as though he were genuinely happy to be of help.

The highlight of my week

I was in our local Gas -n- Sip this morning getting coffee and as I was leaving a young kid on his way to Jr. high school held the door open for me. I said "Thanks." and he replied, "Oh, No doubt, buddy." Very friendly and sincere, as though he were genuinely happy to be of help.

Nice!!

The highlight of my week came today as I was talking with a woman I'd just met. She has a lovely garden a couple blocks from my house and I'd complimented her on how inspiring her flowers were to me and that I'd recently torn up the planting strip at my house, in preparation to create a flower garden like hers. As we talked, I mentioned that I would be attending my eldest son's college graduation ceremonies this weekend, and she looked at me, cocked her head and said, "No, what? Did you have him when you were twelve?"

If I may borrow from Thomas Jefferson,

Had a job interview. . . for like a REAL J.O.B.
I think it went rather well. It was over two hours of interrogative questions and then
some selling situational role-play. I felt really good when I left.

limey 05-23-2012 10:21 AM

If I write here will it appear in the other dimension too?

infinite monkey 05-23-2012 10:29 AM

Why does it now appear as though there is a poll attached?

(cue twilight zone music)

infinite monkey 05-23-2012 10:34 AM

Now that's gone too. Should've captured it.

Get over it.... Not reflective of the "Me" Generation Wall St. protesters who pay no tax. It will come back to bite you in the ass....:D

It's hard to decide if watching the boys win footy on Monday night or feeling the baby kick from the outside was the highlight of my week.

Both have happened before, and both made me feel really happy and proud.

ZenGum 05-24-2012 03:19 AM

Wait, your baby is kicking a footy already? How very Aussie!
