These special pumps were designed for the Twitter-addicted bride in mind, adding the "something blue" to the wedding ensemble. See more at Bit Rebels. |

They're lovely.
[eta] every time I hear 'pumps' as a description for those kinds of shoes it sounds odd. What comes to mind for me with that description are these: |
Here, I think we call those clodhoppers (n. 3. a coarse, heavy shoe, like a plowman's).
You haven't lived until you've seen Clodfobble in clodhoppers. I think the Twitter pumps may be a rip off of the Two Turtledoves pumps. |
Clodhoppers are big shoes and boots with thick soles. Those up there are canvass plimsolls. Thin little things. Made for running helter skelter across a school gym :p
|
I love those shoes even though they are way too high for me.
When I read the word pump I think of farts. Not used in my part of the world, but Ant & Dec used it on SM:TV Live frequently. (NB the above was a live children's Saturday morning show, it's not intended to be Clevah British Comedy) |
I was just looking for a simple pair of navy blue pumps (for work)...navy blue is hard to find, really.
There are some of the most goddawful ugly stupid shoes out there. I doubt I even wear them when I get fired and have to start hooking. |

@ Sundae: I also have that meaning come to mind as well. the two are very much linked as childhood concepts. |
I love those shoes!
