Not dead?

Y'know, every so often you come across an article about some old time star and are surprised momentarily by the fact they're not actually dead.

This one's for the Brits:

Veteran star Tommy Steele is returning to the London stage to play the title role in Scrooge: The Musical.
Tommy Steele lives....who knew?

Here in the states we officially have Abe Vigoda for that.

The eponymous website for him just says whether he's still alive.

Was watching CBS' Sunday show episode about the 100th anniversary of Paramount Movie Studios.
They said most all of the studio's living actors and actresses attended the celebration.

Did I really see Mickey Rooney, or was it an apparition ?

I just wiki'd....he's still alive at the grand old age of 91.

I just read his wiki. He is still with us but there is a sad note about possible elder abuse in there. :(

Our best known coffin dodger is Clive Dunn.
He played old men when he was barely middle aged, so he's appeared to have one foot in the grave for decades now.

He has an honorary mention on many Death Lists, more as a kind of mascot rather than because he is having any trouble with his health.

Ian Lavender will not be impressed that his acting talent has been so easily forgotten!
