Mythbusters Banned From Hacking RFID Chips
Story here.
Ya know...if they were that upset over this, that tells me that RFID chips are easily hackable, and easily trackable. But, the credit card companies have shoved this down our (your) throats, and now they don't want us to know just how vulnerable we (you) are. They even had the video talking about the episode taken down. |
They got rid of the video, too:

So that's what it took? I'm halfway surprised they didn't get banned from shooting any more cannons after that one cannonball skipped the bomb range and went through and through someone's house. Then again, the homeowner wasn't a corporate juggernaut with money to threaten the network with.
If anything I would consider this Confirmed, if all the credit card companies really didn't want it shown. |
if you are truly worried about this get one of these ,

I'd get one of those if they had a grommet to attach a chain.

You want Gromit on a chain?

Yes please! Love me that show.

So they are preventing Mythbusters from doing an investigation that nearly every major and minor news service has completely covered at this point.
What, did the fingerprint scanning industry never recover from the blow it took at the hands of Adam and Jamie? |
