Those are Load cells from a truck scale , approx 4.5 inches of SOLID HARD CORP Stainless Alloy , I have NO IDEA how they managed to Rip them ASUNDER like this ( the trucker said the scale went POW !!!)

Busy F**KING week so far !!!!

footfootfoot 07-10-2012 06:09 AM

Yeah. Holy crap. I'm pretty sure they ain't supposed to do that.

Maybe the circuit board was one of them radio shack kits.

glatt 07-10-2012 07:56 AM

Shawnee could solder all those bad boys in place for you, but the broken load cells are wild. They snapped so cleanly.

To military specifications, even. :)

Gotta admit...manufacturing, mechanics stuff, still fascinates me.

ZenGum 07-10-2012 08:11 AM

Those load cells ... omg.

They look rusty and badly maintained, is that right, Zippy?

Zip, are the pics rotated 90 degrees ?
That is, so the cells are oriented like this:

Attachment 39529

I'm guessing the truck was moving onto the scale when the driver
slammed on his brakes, and shoved the platform horizontally.

zippyt 07-10-2012 03:58 PM

These are a different type load cell , they sit horizontal , and yes Zen the Whole scale is rusty , this is a Bulk Fertilizer place , they bring in barges of the Nasty stuff and ship it out in trucks and rail cars , the Whole place is so rusty they have a SHED WATCH if the winds are going to be over a certin speed !!!

Gravdigr 07-10-2012 05:17 PM

Prolly still echoing.

zippyt 07-12-2012 09:43 PM
