I get the distinct impression you think the problem some of us have is sexy pics of chicks.
It's not. It's demeaning comments about female bodies and sexuality. For example: the joke you posted with the gif of a fine ass swinging from side to side was funny. The 'because you can't motorboat a personality' was misogynistic. It may also have been funny to some. The pic of the chick choking a guy with her fine body was funny, as were comments about it being a great way to go. A pic that cuts off everything of the woman except her ass stuck out of the snow prone and ready for action could go either way. Reducing that part of her to a handy place to park a bike was what shoved it off the edge and into misogyny. imo. Don't take this the wrong way Grav. I'm not saying it's a big deal. It mostly isn't. Nor is any individual post that bad (usually). It's just sometimes there's a real flurry of it and that can grate a little. This post is a genuine attempt to explain to you what it was that was troubling some of us. There is no reason at all why you would instinctively know this stuff. Nor does posting this stuff actually make you a misogynist. All you're doing is going for the lulz. I think most of us know and appreciate that. But perhaps you could know and appreciate why some women might find some of this stuff troubling. Not all of it, and that's important. There's nothing inherently wrong with posting pics of hot chicks, or deriving humour from sexy ladies or body parts. It's the underlying tone. And that's kind of hard to explain except on a case by case basis. |
Cool find on the Robin Hood pic though :P
