Ashcroft is incompetent and must go

We're still at terror alert ORANGE. We're probably 2-3 weeks away from war. The cities are full of protests and everyone is on edge. National security problems dot the map. New concepts of how a terror attack might occur happen every few weeks. Everyone wonders whether the war might spill over into domestic terror. Everyone says there aren't enough resources to address all the possible threats.

And Ashcroft is going after bong sellers.

This is such astounding incompetence. The man is a threat himself. He must go.

If he's dealing with stuff like Operation Pipe Dreams (How do they come up with these names??) then he's not having as much time to meddle in the affairs of others ... this may be an intention direction of his energies by those above him in the governmental food chain.

Had a nostalgic moment here ... I remember the day (when I was in college) that the law was enacted banning paraphenalia sales in Pennsylvania. (damn, getting old ... when was that '80 or '81?)

It was a sad day.

But of course, the day before there was a massive closeout sale at The Purple Onion.

:blunt:

How long before these idiots go after information?

Lovingly handcrafted wooden bongs where one of the favorite projects of my high school's shop class ... they were pitched to the teachers as "artistic lamps". Couple of the guys even went so far as to figure out ways to run wiring through the pipe hole and the rush hole to make it look more convincing.

Thanks for pointing out the painfully obvious, Shepps.

$10 says John is a patron of the gentlemens clubs in the DC area. Someone has GOT to have pictures.

On behalf of all native Missourians and the 5 million or so that live there now, I would like to apologize for John Ashcroft getting more power beyond the Senate.

Bush is the one that appointed him. He's probably just as crazy, but isn't able to admit it because of his position. I bet Bush silently cheers each time Ashcroft does something stupid.

This seems to be the official function of the DOJ in the past 2 admins, but yes, I agree.

I disagree. The man is a very competent megalomaniac.

OK, so what do we do now?

Further evidence of Ashcroft being an absolute fuckface.

$20 says that John is a patron of many of Missouri's farms, under cover of darkness, with some chloroform so that the sheep and cows' anguished cries don't wake up the farmer.

On second thought, scratch that. Ashcroft got all twiddly at the thought of being near ONE exposed breast, and that was on a STATUE. If he looks at the bottom of a cow, the consequences could be severe.

Heh...wouldn't surprise me.
