Separate
But connected
We meet rarely
Through choice, through need

Through loneliness

You moved in me
Moved time and space
To what should have been
Breathing, loving, giving, taking
Breathless endless long explosion
Stars and dark

You held my hand

Listened to the raptors cry
Fed me blackberries from your vines
And we drank your wine
Along the dirt road that leads to paradise

We live alone
Walk in solitude
No sorrow, no regret

Like raptors we meet
